TAKE NOTICE OF TAQUILA!!!

Taquila Thompson is the author of Visiting Daddy, a children's book about a little girl's account of visiting her father who's incarcerated. The book is the first of a series entitled, "Not Your Ordinary Family".

The story of Thompson is one of triumph. At 22 years old, she comes from a small town in South Carolina, Ridgeville. She had a troubled childhood and an even more troubled teenage life. At 14, she started to write poetry as a hobby. But after giving birth to her first daughter at 17, she decided that she would pursue writing full time. And after almost taking her life twice, she had another daughter at 19 who would save her life. Now Thompson, a strong mother, released Visiting Daddy in November 2011.

Having overcome so many obstacles and her strength to bring awareness to an unfortunate truth for many, we at En El Publishing have no doubts that Taquila Thompson is a name that we're sure to hear many years to follow.
